We are pushing for Akumal Palenque and want to go south across the road along the coast. But I had heard a couple of months ago that this coastal area to the south of Tulum has been severely affected by the hurricane. Does anyone know if the road is still good?

I’m going to Tulum for my thirtieth birthday this August and was thinking of driving to Chichen Itza for a day trip. How far is it? Is it worth the drive? Thank you all!.
